Job overview
Would you like to be part of our community.
Our department values include honesty, excellence, ambition, respect and teamwork. The school’s culture is rooted in these values. There are positive relationships between staff and pupils. Staff have high expectations, and pupils live up to these.
They feel well supported by leaders in respect of workload, well-being and managing pupils’ behaviour. Staff value the professional development they receive.
The person appointed will have a clear vision of what an outstanding Science provision will look like and have the skills to lead in this area. If you are an outstanding teacher and an ambitious leader, it really is worth applying for this post, which does not often arise. You will be well supported and developed as part of the middle leaders group.
We are a tight-knit unit striving for the very best for our students and we are focussed on, and passionate about, learning and success. We genuinely care about our staff, their well-being and their professional development: we are a happy team, committed to working collaboratively and sharing the very best practice.
Primarily, the successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher of Science and be able to offer the skills and experience to teach across a range of Science subjects and key stages.
We have fantastic facilities in a recently built Science block, that any school would be proud of. We offer trilogy and triple science qualifications at GCSE and Biology, Chemistry and Physics are all popular at A level.
We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is passionate about engaging our students in the awe and wonder of Science and inspiring them to be inquisitive.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
